Dysphagia Causes – Normal swallowing (Part 1)

Dysphagia is a swallowing disorder involving the oral cavity, pharynx, esophagus, or gastroesophageal junction. Consequences of Dysphagia include malnutrition and dehydration, aspiration pneumonia, compromised general health, chronic lung disease, choking, and even death. Swallowing difficulties can have a detrimental effect on dietary intake. Hence, growth and development of the child. Knowing the causes, signs and symptoms will help us to manage this condition more effectively.

Virtual Celebrating Differences 2021

We held our concert Celebrating Differences earlier this month and it gave our kids and Rainbow Youth a chance to strut their stuff.
Here’s a glimpse of one of the performances, THEY, together and individually, wanted to say thank you to their teachers, collaborators and all those who make the Foundation possible. Every year Celebrating Differences unites the different parts of the Foundation both geographically, ability and otherwise into one show.
