In partnership with the International Paralympic Committee and Mary Fitzgerald, Paralympic shot-putter, we’ve prepared a series of training drills designed to get young people with disabilities moving. These tips are also for those who would like to start “Day 1” of their journey to getting more active. Mary shared tips on re-creating moves such as Power Lifts and a drill she calls The Rocket – watch the video to find out more.

In Episode 2 you’ll meet two Day 1ers; Amelia and Daniel. Amelia is 12 years old with a leg amputee. She’s a force of nature and has decided to take part in ‘Day 1 Done’ to overcome some of her doubts and fears about moving. Daniel is 17 years old with Spina Bifida and uses a wheelchair. He believes there’s nothing he can’t do!
