Caregiver Training: Optimal Oral Health for Hoosiers with Disabilities
The Center for Health Equity at Indiana University will offer free half-day in-person trainings designed specifically for caregivers of Hoosiers with disabilities in Fort Wayne (June 2) and Indianapolis (June 3).
Attendees will learn what challenges and needs related to dental care and home oral care looks like for Hoosiers with disabilities and their caregivers; and how to improve dental care access and navigate the dental care system. Attendees will also learn techniques and tools that can be incorporated into your at-home dental hygiene practices to prevent oral diseases and improve the oral health of individuals with disabilities.
